Since 2009 and unique in Flanders and Brussels and a good deal beyond: individual bandoneon classes for beginners from the age of 10 years (!) and advanced musicians in a regular music school of the Flemish Community! Other instrumentalists are welcome in the group classes for playing in a tango band. Pato Lorente is responsible for these courses along with Chris Carlier.
All students in Brussels are also very welcome to join the big tango orchestra of the school: the "Bruselas Tango Orquesta".
Here also sincere thanks to the Friends of the Academy, the Town of Sint-Agatha-Berchem and the luthier Harry Geuns who all contributed to make these classes financially and logistically possible.
Since September 2014, another bandoneon class has been started in Ghent upon the initiative of Pato Lorente. This class is now further taught by Simone Van der Weerden.
